Senate Majority Leader and also Elgeyo Marakwet senator Kipchumba Murkomen has revealed Opposition Leader Raila Odinga's plan to 'quit' the presidential race at the last minute to avoid repeat election.
In a series of twitter posts, Senator Murkomen said Mr Odinga was planning to quit anytime.
According to Murkomen, the Opposition leader thought that by dropping out he would create a crisis but a few cases in court are complicating matters for him.
The vocal Jubilee leader, however, claimed that with the Jubilee amendment laws, Mr Odinga has no 'escape route'.
"Once the Election Laws Amendment Act is finally passed, it will seal all the loopholes that NASA would have used to cause a political crisis," he said.
Former Prime Minister Raila Odinga has been on record stating that he will not participate in the election if NASA's 'irreducible minimums' are not met.
"IEBC is the thief that stole the elections on behalf of Jubilee. This is the Kibra Declaration. There will be no election on October 17 if our demands are not met. It will not happen," Raila said in a past political rally.
