Speaking on Tuesday during an interview on Radio Maisha, Murkomen hit out at the ODM deputy party leader, claiming that the Mombasa County government is a den of corruption that has done little to uplift the lives of its electorate.

"Let Joho not lie to anyone. Mombasa County is one of the most poorly managed counties where corruption is the order of the day. In fact it has faced one of the worst industrial action by health workers in the recent years," said Murkomen.

Murkomen was reacting to the governor's claims Deputy President William Ruto is engaging in corruption.
