Elgeyo Marakwet Senator Kipchumba Murkomen now wants two opposition MPs out of the powerful Parliamentary Accounts Committee on allegations that they had been mentioned in the NYS saga.
The two; John Mbadi (Suba) and Junnet Mohammed (Suna East) are close allies of opposition leader Raila Odinga.
In an explosive letter dated December 16 to National Assembly Speaker Justin Muturi, Murkomen argues that the two had been mentioned having done businesses with National Youth Service.
“Some of the committee members have been adversely mentioned for allegedly doing business with NYS or parent Devolution Ministry,” Sunday Nation reports.
“The public would like to know how the committee will handle conflicting positions of John Mbadi and Junet Mohammed who have been mentioned as direct beneficiaries of contracts in the same ministry,” he claims.
Murkomen’s law firm; Sing’oei, Murkomen and Sigei advocates is being investigated for receiving Sh15 million from a company linked to NYS saga.
