Elgeyo Marakwet Senator Kipchumba Murkomen has revealed his action that saved the life of a hit and run victim.
In a tweet on Friday, the Senator stated that he picked up the victim at Nyayo Stadium Roundabout in Nairobi and rushed him to the Kenyatta National Hospital for treatment.
''I have picked a victim of hit and run at Nyayo Stadium roundabout. Rushed him to Kenyatta National Hospital for treatment. Doctors at the hospital are ably attending to him,'' tweeted the vocal leader who as well hailed the public health sector for its newfound competency.
He lauded the East and Central Africa's biggest referral health facility, probably for his reception when he handed over the patient, expressing his pride in the public health facilities.
The victim is said to be a political party official.
''I am proud of our public hospitals. I am told the man is an official of a popular political party in Nairobi. I pray he gets well soon. Will check on him Kesho (tomorrow),'' said the Majority Leader in the Senate.
However, the victim's name was not revealed.
