Elgeyo Marakwet Senator Moses Wetangula has urged his Bungoma counterpart Moses Wetangula to come to terms with his ejection as the Senate Minority Leader.
The Ford Kenya party leader was on Tuesday dethroned from the post, in an operation carried out by his dominant Orange Democratic Party (ODM) counterparts.
Speaking in the house, moments after the ordeal, Murkomen urged Wetangula to take the matter lightly and now concentrate on his legislative roles.
The Senate Majority boss advised the opposition's National Super Alliance (NASA) co-chief to peacefully let go of the position and reignite a good relationship with his opposition peers.
"It is now time for him to settle and engage his opposition counterparts on national issues. He should consider taking alternative routes that can help him realize his political future ambitions," said Murkomen.
Wetangula's ouster has as well been condemned by opposition's Wiper and Amani National Congress (ANC) affiliate parties, accusing ODM of political mischief.
They have termed the move as ODM's plot to weaken the alliance ahead of its exit, a plan allegedly aimed at evading an earlier pact to support a different party leader in the coming 2022 presidential election.
Wetangula has since been replaced by his Bungoma counterpart James Orengo.
