Ruto was speaking during a fundraiser at Tabuga PCEA church in Bahati.

The tarmacking of the road will be among the 400kms that the Jubilee government will do in Nakuru, the DP said.

Residents of Mawanga have been complaining about the poor state of the road for many years. It is usually impassable during the rainy season and extremely dusty during the dry season.

The road was a campaign tool for Nakuru senator Susan Kihika who promised to fix it if elected.

The senator raised the matter as she invited the DP to speak during the fundraiser.

“Mr DP, allow us to make this one request to you. We have had a huge challenge with the road connecting Murunyu and Mawanga to the main road. Please, we are asking you to get the road done and save us the stress,” Kihika said.
