Rift Valley regional coordinator Wanyama Musiambo said there is absolute peace in the region and welcomed the international and local tourists to continue visiting the area.

"Security agencies are on  hight alert in all the 14 counties of the region," said Musiambo.

He warned that anyone found causing disturbance will be arrested and charged in court.

"The law is clear no one should cause disturbance during this time of campaigns. Campaigns should be done with maturity without harming anyone. Anyone found culpable will face the law since the police officers are on high alert maintaining the law and order," he said.
