Speaking in his office on Wednesday, outgoing Rift valley Regional Coordinator Wanyama Musiambo says the SGR passing through Naivasha and Narok has great economic value to the area residents and therefore they should embrace such.

He termed the SGR project a national investment from the government that will transform lives of many Kenyans hence need to embrace it.

“The residents of Narok and Naivasha should know that this is our project as Kenyans and it will empower us economically. They should not create hurdles to the construction of the project for it will benefit all of us” he said.

The outgoing regional co-ordinator stated that they have had challenges with a section of residents in Narok and Naivasha but was quick to add that the matter was being addressed.

He once again assured the residents that the government was working within the law and that the area residents where the SGR passes through are always considered before any action is taken for the benefit of the society at large.
