Popular musician and aspirant for the Starehe MP seat Charles Kanyi aka Jaguar has been charged with causing the death of two people.
Jaguar was charged at the Baricho law courts on Monday over an accident that occurred at the Makutano-Sagana road junction, March 21, where a bodaboda rider and his passenger were killed.
The two victims, Joseph Maingi and Mugo Abdalla met their deaths after being hit by Jaguar's Range Rover Sport of plate number KCB 808J.
According to witnesses, however, the car was being driven by a woman and was coming from from Sagana to Makutano whereas the two victims were headed in the opposite direction.
But the musicial has insisted that the was the one behind the steering wheel and the court today charged him of dangerous driving.He denied both counts of traffic offences and was released on a Sh50,000 cash bail.
The case will be mentioned next on May 5.
