A Nairobi musician popularly known as 'Rasta Kim' was on Wednesday night attacked and killed by suspected thugs in Kayole estate Nairobi.

It is said that the thugs are among a wider wing of gangsters that have been terrorizing area residents.

Kim was attacked on his way from work and later succumbed to the injuries .

Until his death. Kim was a leader of Nzalani Boys, a Benga band that is popular in Ukambani region.

Cases of gangs attacking and terrorising residents in the area have been on the rise with police officers being urged to beef up security for the safety of the locals.
