Those who died were traveling in a saloon car towards Nakuru and collided head-on with a truck that was going in the opposite direction.
Rift Valley Traffic Enforcement Officer, Zero Arome said among those who died in the accident that occurred 8:30 pm on Saturday night included a local artist and his five dancers.
“Heartfelt condolences to the families and friends of Weldon Cheruiyot of Kenene International and his troupe following a tragic road crash last evening. We also mourn with those who lost their loved ones in the accident at Moinonin,” Deputy President William Ruto tweeted.
“Motorists should exercise caution and adhere to traffic rules and regulations, especially during this festive season to avoid further loss of lives," he added.
The accident occurred just hours after 14 were killed in another accident in Baringo.
The bodies of the six were taken to Molo District Hospital.
