Kitui Senator David Musila has said that it is unfortunate that the persons who brought down his billboard are still walking scot free when there is the law.
The governor aspirant, who fell out with Wiper Party Stephen Kalonzo Musyoka, says that he has launched an official complaint but apparently little is being done towards the same.
He adds that he could have shot at the persons had he seen them committing the offense, which he confessed would have cost him dearly.
The lawmaker, who spoke when he met county commissioner Boaz Cherutich and NCIC officers, also advocated for deployment of more security officers in the area to ensure that the citizens are safe before, during and after the August general elections.
“I could have shot at them and regretted it later because what they did amounted to impunity. No one bothers even though I lodged a complaint. The matter ended there,” Musila said, as quoted by Nation.
The senator walked out of Wiper Party citing frustration. He has affirmed that he will trounce Dr. Julius Malombe as he contests as an Independent candidate during the forthcoming general election.
He has promised to include youths in his leadership to ensure efficient service delivery in the government if he beats the incumbent.
