Embattled Kitui senator David Musila has sensationally denied that he endorsed president Uhuru Kenyatta despite being a close confident of Kalonzo Musyoka.
A video circulated by Gatundu South MP Moses Kuria showed Musila urging locals to support Uhuru’s reelection.
And in what seemed to be retaliation to his former party Wiper’s shoddy nominations, Musila accused party leader Kalonzo Musyoka of bias.
“I do not remember campaigning or endorsing anyone. I stayed clear on the matter and I was only looking for my own votes as governor,” he said.
“The propaganda being peddled is just a clear motive by my enemies to bring me down. I am not supporting anyone and that is what people should know,” he added.
During the nominations, Musila lost to David Malombe who he claims that was the preferred candidate by Wiper leader Mr Musyoka.
The former Vice President is fighting a rebellion within his Ukambani stronghold and has however maintained that opposition NASA will carry the day.
