The legislator accused his party leader Kalonzo Musyoka of orchestrating his political downfall, saying he had won the primaries before the former Vice President ordering the results generated by the governor's team be announced as authentic.
"The Party Leader order results that were compiled by my opponent to be announced at Kitui tallying centre without reference to the National Election Board officials who fled Kitui town due to insecurity," Musila said on Wednesday during a press briefing.
"It is unfortunate that the winner has been declared the loser against all democratic principle," he added.
Governor Malombe is set to battle it out with former Lands Cabinet Secretary Charity Ngilu during the August polls.
Ngilu is vying on a Narc ticket.
