Senator David Musila has said that his rival Governor Julius Malombe is behind the printing of T-shirts that carried his portrait and words “No Musila, No Nomination.”

Speaking after recording a statement with the security personel in the county, Musila said that Malombe has ill motives during the nominations, which is not acceptable in the political arena. According to the message on the T-shirts, one of the leaders wants to cause chaos during the upcoming nominations.

Musila, who is also Wiper Party Chairman, has called upon the police officers handling the case to conduct proper investigations before Monday.

The senator insisted that he has been in the game of politics for decades, adding that violence has never been part of his campaign strategy.

Musila said, “I have been in politics for many years and have never advocated violence and also as the party chairman, I should steer peaceful nominations. The governor is trying to portray me as violent.”

Malombe, who spoke in Migwani on Thursday, said that Musila is looking for way to have him locked out of the nomination, which is not going to happen. “The aim is to disqualify me but their scheme will flop.”
