[Photo/Daily Nation]Barely a day after Kitui Senator David Musila was allegedly quoted that he endorsed president Uhuru Kenyatta, the politician has refuted the reports saying he is firmly behind NASA presidential candidate Raila Odinga.Senator Musila has in recent days been seen as the biggest critic of NASA presidential running mate Kalonzo Musyoka after he was trounced by Kitui Governor Julius Malombe in the Wiper Party primaries, Musila has since opted to go against the party that sponsored him to Senate in 2013 by running as an independent candidate.“I did not endorse the president; I said leaders should be chosen based on merits. I am fully supporting NASA presidential candidate Raila Odinga,” said Senator Musila.Despite distancing himself from claims of supporting Uhuru's reelection bid, the senator also faulted the way the opposition coalition frustrates independent candidates who promised to support its presidential flag bearer.“NASA has failed by treating independent candidates like their enemies. I have even told them this because during a recent rally in Ukambani only leaders from NASA affiliate parties were allowed to talk,” added the senator.
