[Photo/Daily Nation]National Super Alliance (NASA) leader Raila Odinga has been urged to cancel his planned swearing-in ceremony on Tuesday, January 30.According to the Kenya National Muslim Advisory Council (KEMNAC), Raila's oath plans will plunge the country into political violence and dissapoint millions of Kenyans who view him as a statesman."The planned oathing will tarnish Raila’s image and plunge the country into chaos," said KEMNAC National Chairman, Sheikh Juma Ngao. While recognising the former Prime Minister's immense contribution to the country’s political reforms, the KEMNAC official warned his installation would destroy the legacy he has built over many years."He risks to destroy his political legacy and the respect he commands both locally and internationally if he goes on with his planned swearing in," he said.Speaking during a press conference on Wednesday in Mombasa, the council termed the oathing plans illegal and inconsequential, claiming Raila's 'presidency' would not be recognized by any country and the international community at large."Kenya has one President and that is Uhuru Kenyatta who was publicly sworn-in on November 28 last year by the Chief Justice of the country," noted Sheikh Ngao.
