[Photo/@Nation_Breaking]The organising secretary of the Council of Imams and Preachers of Kenya, Mohamed Khalisa, has criticised the National Super Alliance (Nasa) for calling for anti-IEBC demos to be held on Fridays.Speaking on Wednesday, Khalisa termed the Opposition's move as absurd and disrespectful to Muslims.The cleric noted that Nasa has every right to picket and demonstrate as stipulated in the constitution, he however said they should have chosen another day.Muslims go to the mosque on Fridays."There will be no peace, tension and fear," said Khalisa.In a bid to send IEBC CEO Ezra Chiloba and his team believed to have bungled the August 8 polls, the Nasa principals led by Raila Odinga announced that their supporters will be protesting every Monday and Fridays across the country.The anti-IEBC protests were witnessed on Monday in Nairobi, Kisumu, Migori, Siaya, Kakamega, Embu, Machakos and Mombasa counties.
Most of the protests were marred with chaos as anti-riot police engaged the protestors in running battles.
