The former Muslim Chief Kadhi of Kenya, Kassim Hamad has criticised the recent security deals signed by the Kenyan government and Israel.
Kassim said that the peace deal is likely to compel Mossad to participate in occasional security sweeps targeted at Muslim youths, clerics and even their secular activists.
He stated that Israel's growing influence and interest in Kenya is cause for alarm, especially at this time when extra-judicial killings of Muslim clerics and youths and vocal lawyers were on the rise.
Kassim further argued that the Sub-Saharan nations should not entrench cooperation ties with Israel before it amends its policies over the historic Palestines and the Middle East region.
‘'We do not understand how our African nations which have fought to curb racism are now cooperating with apartheid states like Israel. Kenya is joining hands with a nation that kills in broad daylight. We are opposed to Isreali Zionist government,'’ he said.
Netanyahu during his visit to Kenya signed a peace deal with President Uhuru Kenyatta.
The Middle East country is set to help Kenya heighten its fight against the Al-Shabaab insurgents that is threatening to sink the country into a terror zone.
