Muslims across the country are set to hold a national prayer day on Thursday, Council of Imams and Preachers of Kenya (CIPK) Organising Secretary Sheikh Mohamed Khalifa has announced.
Speaking on Saturday at CIPK Mombasa offices, Khalifa said Muslim Imams countrywide have been instructed to lead prayers where the faithfuls will be praying for rain and the continued graft that has rocked the Jubilee administration.
“This will be our day to reflect and seek forgiveness. A day when we shall pray for change, the runaway corruption, attacks and all evil things that happen because some of us have not been praying,” he said, as quoted by The Star.
