A Garissa-based Islam teacher, Sheikh Shaaban has advised Muslim organisations to fully utilise their time, economic resources and energies to support capacity building and training of the younger citizens.
He says this will help improve their critical skills and nurture leadership in them for efficiency and progress in societies.
Shabaan said the leadership training initiatives for youth will greatly inspire them to be visibly active and definitely play a transformative role in improving their local communities.
The Muslim leader further pointed out his dissatisfaction that many religious institutions were experiencing inefficiencies in management owing to poor leadership skills, adding that it was high time leaders re-examine their leadership skills.
"Training programs will enable our youths in the community to become influential individuals within their surroundings only if we provide them skills and necessary tools that boost the quality and efficiency of their individual personal lives, their mental capacities, and behavioral habits," stated Shabaan.
