The Muslim community has cried foul over being sidelined by the Uasin Gishu County government.
According to chairman of Imams and Muslim Preachers in the county Abubakar Bini, Muslims have not been given any position in the county government, despite having required qualifications.
"We are demanding to be involved in the social and economic development of the county since we are part and parcel of the government because we reside in the region," he said.
Speaking in his office on Monday, Bini said in the last three years, the Muslim community has totally been neglected in the running of the county.
"Why are treated differently, are we not residents of this county just like the others?" he posed.
"No Muslim has been appointed to any key position in Governor Jackson Mandago’s administration," he claimed.
