Hundreds of Muslims in Nakuru town on Friday morning congregated at the Afraha stadium for the Eid ul Adha prayers with messages of peace prevailing.

The prayers were attended by among others leaders from the Nakuru Muslim Association, SUPKEM and Namlef.

Muslim leaders led by Issa Mikidadi and Mohammed Surraw said that despite the emerging political differences in the country, Kenyans ought to remain united and show politicians that they are above political manipulation to violence and hatred.

“Kenyans need to remain united and show politicians that they are above political manipulation to violence and hatred,” said Mikidadi.

On his part, Surraw said that as Muslims, they will spend the day visiting the less fortunate and offering goodies to them.

He said that Islam embraces humanity and as such there was need for those who have to remember those who do not have.

“Islam embraces humanity and as such there was need for those who have to share with those who don’t have,” said Surraw.
