The muslim community has vowed to shun clerics who endorsed President Uhuru Kenyatta's re-election on Wednesday.
They rebuked the imams who were led by a section of Council of Imams and Preachers in Kenya (CIPK) for claiming that the president had demonstrated much love for Muslims.
According to the Star, the faithfuls are now considering to stop praying behind the imams.
They argue that their leaders are now peddling lies because under the Jubilee government they have suffered a lot, including the 'cases of extrajudicial killings and enforced disappearances'.
At this year’s Eid Baraza, Uhuru gifted a CIPK leader a vehicle to help them in the campaigns and now the faithfuls argue that this has worked s a bribe to mortgage the community.
