The NASA coalition's leadership which is yet to concede defeat in both the August 8 and October 26 presidential races had vowed not to acknowledge Kenyatta's victory in both polls.

However, reacting to the recent meeting and peace pact between Uhuru and the opposition supremo Raila Odinga on Wednesday, the immediate former Vice President seemed to accept that Kenyatta legally occupies the top post.

"We are also interested in holding a meeting with His Excellency President Uhuru Kenyatta. We will reach out to him upon his return from Cuba," Musyoka told the press in Machakos.

He went ahead to admit that Kenyatta indeed clinched the seat in the poll, though in a quite rough manner.

"In politics, leadership is not given at all times, at times one has to grab it the way Uhuru did," Kalonzo said.

The opposition coalition National Super Alliance (NASA) has since inaugurated Odinga as the 'People's President' in retaliation to the allegedly unfair election, an event that was snubbed by Musyoka.

The controversial oath took place in Uhuru Park in Nairobi County on January 30 and was witnessed by thousands of NASA supporters.
