Speaking in Machakos Town on Thursday, the Women Rep said the county will not realise its development agenda if leaders are not united.

Dr Musyoka said that Mutua and Muthama are Machakos’ senior leaders who should use their offices to unite the people.

“The animosity between Mutua and Muthama has reached its limits. The leaders should solve their differences and work together,” she said.

Musyoka said that locals are not happy with the fallout between Mutua and Muthama adding that unity and development in Machakos and the larger Ukambani region will be based on good working relations among leaders.

She urged other leaders from the region to spearhead unity talks and bring warring leaders together.

Mutua and Muthama have been at loggerheads with Governor Mutua accusing Muthama of interfering with county activities and being disrespectful to county leaders.

The governor has allegedly written senate speaker Ekwe Ethuro seeking intervention over the alleged interference by Muthama.
