Renowned political analyst Mutahi Ngunyi has received a severe online backlash over his weekly political hypotheses that he publishes on his YouTube channel dubbed 'The Fifth Estate'.
Ngunyi has been accused of mounting a psychological warfare against the opposition Nasa with an aim of benefiting the ruling Jubilee Party.
Ngunyi who coined the now famous 'tryranny of numbers' phrase in the run-up to 2013 General elections, has now been told off with his 'skewed hypotheses that are only meant to massage the egos of his Jubilee masters'.
"Rise and Fall of Mutahi Ngunyi. A man who used to run the narrative in big media houses now writing for a free Uhuru propaganda Newspaper," Twitter user @ C_NyakundiH writes.
Another user @Disembe says: "It is inconceivable that Mutahi NGUNYI thinks he can change the content, texture and course of this campaign. This is NOT 2013."
User @Asamoh_ told Ngunyi that Nasa is unstoppable: "Dear @MutahiNgunyi , NASA is unstoppable. Not even your psychological warfare will stop @RailaOdinga presidency."
While @PaulKiriswa expressed his disappointment with Ngunyi: "I can't believe you've been reduced to a Jubilee sycophant."
Others like @shanizkiky accused him of being corrupt:"Mutahi Ngunyi you are the most corrupt person in Kenya don't demonize NASA because of Brown Envelope Tell us abt #NYSScam."
@AmbulaKen asked Ngunyi why Jubilee has been unable to fulfill a number of its 2013 election promises: "5 stadia, free laptops, Eurobond, NYS (pls pay back or we'll jail U), land grabbing, NHIF scandal..where are lies in this?
