Political analyst Mutahi Ngunyi has claimed that the defeat of Cord leader Raila Odinga in 2017 is what Kenya needs.
In his weekly You Tube tutorials under the 5th Estate, Ngunyi if Odinga loses in 2017, it will the new change that the country is yearning for since it will be a disruptive innovation just like it was recently witnessed in the US with the election of Donald Trump.
Ngunyi stated that Odinga is part of the establishment that people are used to unlike Trump who is considered an outsider.
"If Raila is defeated in this election that will be the disruptive innovation. It will be the new change Kenya desires for. In fact defeating Raila will be more newsworthy than defeating Uhuru," said Ngunyi.
He further added that the Cord leader should retire from active politics because the moment does not favour him at all.
"Retiring him once and for good is going to be the innovation.But is the moment right for this? Does the context call for his retiring? In my view the answer is yes," added Ngunyi.
The analyst has been in the limelight for making accurate political predictions.
Ngunyi's sentiments come at time the opposition is trying to come up with a preferred presidential candidate where Odinga has maintained that he is the best choice to defeat Uhuru Kenyatta.
