Controversial political analyst Mutahi Ngunyi has claimed that National Super Alliance (NASA) leader Raila Odinga is a coward after he failed to swear in himself as the president.
On his twitter handle, Mutahi Ngunyi said that the opposition leader lacks the charisma and courage of his late father Jaramogi Oginga Odinga who stood firm in the call for independence.
It is well remembered that Oginga refused to take power from the colonialists maintaining that Mzee Jomo Kenyatta must be released to take over. The late Jaramogi said he could be viewed as a traitor if he accepted to be installed as the founding father of the nation.
The political analyst said that the Luo nation is now independent after Raila’s inauguration was called off
“After independence, Raila’s father declared: Not Yet Uhuru. But because Raila is a coward and could NOT swear himself in, today is Independence Day for the Luo Nation,” Ngunyi said on his Twitter post.
This also comes after some disappointed Kenyans accused the opposition of taking its supporters for a ride.
