[Photo: kenya-today.com]We should not be quick to dismiss David Ndii as an angry and ignorant voodoo expert, Political scientist Mutahi Ngunyi has said.Similarly, Ngunyi continues, to accuse Ndii of being a Kikuyu intellectual who has mortgaged his morality to Opposition leader Raila Odinga is also wrong as it would suggest that he is after Raila's money.Ndii is NASA chief of policy and strategy who has come to be the face of secession debate going on in the country.Ngunyi, through a hypothesis on his 5TH Estate YouTube channel this Sunday, says that Ndii is misleading Raila on the secession project because he is an economist."On the mechanics of war and secession, this man (Ndii) is completely untaught. He is naive at the best. He is a chocolate soldier who will melt before the secession war begins," says Ngunyi.He adds: "That is why he has been given the job of running his mouth and not flexing his muscles."Ngunyi notes that there are two possibilities regarding the whole secession talk. One, he says, secession talk is all about diversion. "Raila is using it to divert attention from the Supreme Court. Maybe he has a bombshell that he is going to drop at the Supreme Court which I highly doubt," he says.Two, Ngunyi says that Raila is probably planning something bigger after the Supreme Court petition where he will split the country into two."Secession is Raila's last attempt at the presidency. In my view, this is his next step after the Supreme Court petition," Ngunyi asserts.
