[Photo| Courtesy]Political analyst Mutahi Ngunyi, has shared two scenarios, under which, the country, could be heading to.The controversial analyst, who is a critic of the Opposition's NASA, which is headed by Raila Odinga, predicted that all may not be well, especially after Odinga withdrew his candidature.NASA withdrew its candidature, for the fresh presidential election, slated for October 26, but IEBC and President Uhuru Kenyatta, said the election would go on.Despite calls by NASA that IEBC should not include Raila's name on the ballot, IEBC has said his name will not be removed until he officially withdraws by signing form 24A.However, according to Ngunyi, both Jubilee, IEBC and Kenyans, could fall in Raila's 'trap'.In the first scenario, the political analyst said, election may smoothly be held, without Raila, and Kenyatta would win by a big margin. If this happens, Odinga would move to the Supreme Court to have the election nullified, citing the August 8 presidential election petition ruling by the Supreme Court.Ngunyi said this leaves no doubt that October 26 election would be nullified on November 23. The court would then order for a fresh presidential election within sixty days. The day after the nullification, the analyst said, Raila's cronies would immediately demand a caretaker government. "Their argument will be very simple, that Uhuru’s mandate expired on November 1," said Ngunyi."If Maraga is a power hungry judge, then he will complete the coup and declare himself President," he added. In the second scenario, Ngunyi said it may happen that, as Raila has been saying, there might be no election on October 26, which can only happen, constitutionally, if a presidential candidate dies, before election."There is only one that can stop the October 26 election. If one of the five colourless candidates or running mates dies, then the election will be cancelled and Raila will be proven right.""The question we pose, is this Raila’s plan B?" Ngunyi, was quoted by an online local daily.
