Political analyst Mutahi Ngunyi Wednesday failed to appear before National Assembly's Public Accounts Committee over Sh90 million he received from the National Youth Service (NYS).
The Committee members waited for over three hours but he did not show up.
Ngunyi’s firm, Consulting House Ltd, is said to have received the Sh90 million from NYS.
The Committee is currently inquiring into NYS special audit report.
PAC Chairman Nicholas Gumbo directed Ngunyi to appear before the Committee next week without failure.
When contacted, Ngunyi said he did not receive any invitation to respond to the NYS matter.
“I have just spoken to him and he confessed the email on his letterhead that we used to invite him is no longer in use. He even did not receive the letter we sent to his office,” Gumbo said as quoted by the Star.
“We will have to reschedule the meeting until some times next week,” he added.
