Days after the appointment of the 14 members of the Building Bridges Initiative following the Raila-Uhuru truce, the controversial political analyst Prof. Mutahi Ngunyi has said that the handshake is as an agent of confusion poisoned by the opposition chief Raila Odinga.
Speaking through his weekly YouTube videos, the professor said that the handshake was not well thought and it is being made up with time.
“The handshake is an agent of confusion; if Raila and NASA are confused, it is okay but if Uhuru and Ruto appear confused it is not okay. And this is the problem I have with this handshake story. I am not convinced that it was thought through carefully. In fact, I persuaded that they are making it up as they go along. If they appointed my grandmother’s agemates to be the 14 advisors to the handshake committee, this thing is a joke,” opined Mutahi.
He also said that Uhuru’s achievements in his first term were erased by the darkness of Mr. Odinga.
“The first term of Uhuru Kenyatta, he did many uncelebrated things; he was unsung hero but his achievements were erased from our memory but the darkness of one Raila Odinga,” noted Ngunyi.He added that, “We do not remember anything Uhuru did last term and this is because Uhuru neglected politics. If he does it during the legacy term then probably there will be no legacy.”
