Mourners including Nasa leaders during the requiem mass for IEBC ICT director Chris Msando at Consolata Shrine in Westlands, Nairobion August 17. [the-star.co.ke]As the slain Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) ICT boss Chris Msando is laid to rest at his rural Siaya home on Saturday (today), Political scientist Mutahi Ngunyi hopes that 'God will bring closure to Musando murder'.Through a tweet on his Twitter account on Friday, Mutahi seemed to castigate the opposition, Nasa, which he accuses of trying to gain political capital from the 'tragedy'. "May God bring closure to Musando murder. May he stop those commercializing a tragedy. May he confirm that..."Kikukulacho kimo nguoni mwako," said Ngunyi. In a previous tweet, Mutahi had sought to know who stood to benefit from Msando's murder."On Chris Musando, we ask the CUI BONO question for the 100th TIME: Who BENEFITS? You IDENTIFY the beneficiary; You will Identify the Killer!" wrote Ngunyi. In his various hypothetical analysis pieces on his YouTube channel, The Fifth Estate, Ngunyi has often indicated that Nasa flag bearer Raila Odinga would stand to benefit from such circumstances. Nasa leadership including its flag bearer Raila Odinga, visited Msando's Nairobi home this week to condole with his family. Other Nasa leaders attended Msando's requiem mass at Consolata Shrines on Thursday, where they demanded that the government tell the country whom Msando's killers are.Nasa has been categorical in stating that Msando was murdered over his job by elements in government who were hellbent in rigging August 8 presidential elections. Msando's family has also echoed the same sentiments.
