Political analyst Prof Mutahi Ngunyi has said that Chief Justice David Maraga andOrange Democratic Movement (ODM) leader Raila Odinga should apologize for their role in the 2017elections.
Speaking on Sunday, Ngunyi said that the two should apologize for their role in the polls that saw the country on the brink of destruction.
In his weekly show the Fifth Estate, Ngunyi and his team from the Fort Hall School of Government said that CJ Maraga and the Supreme Court had cost the country economically after nullification of the August 8 polls.
"Justice Maraga should admit that he was politically naive then we will forgive him and byMaraga we mean the Supreme court. The decision of the court cost the country Sh 1 Billion every hour during the election process.
"And for the jobs we lost because of their political naivety, the Maraga court should also apologize," the team opined. They further conveyed that Maraga should apologize to the country and to God as well stating that: "His sins of political naivety cannot be forgiven by man alone."
The team added that they were also expecting an apology from Raila as well.
"We want an unconditional apology, not one where he says, Uhuru, IEBC's Chiloba, Chebukati, US ambassador or the companies he boycotted made him swear himself in and are also to blame," they explained
