According to Mutambu, his agents were blocked from accessing any of the polling stations in the constituency. Through this, Mutambu believes the votes were manipulated to remove from office.

"I must say that I was rigged out of the Mwingi Central seat. My agents were blocked from accessing any of the polling stations in the constituency leading to manipulation of votes against me. However, I will not contest the outcome in court," said Mutambu.

Mutambu also affirmed that the defecting leaders to Jubilee party will ensure President Uhuru Kenyatta receives a convincing victory come the October polls in the country.

"The idea that Jubilee party will not get any votes from the leaders decamping from other parties is baseless. As a party, Jubilee will get many votes and ensure President Kenyatta gets a much more convincing victory in October," added Mutambu.

Mutambu made the remarks on Wednesday on Citizen TV where he affirmed that he is going to campaign for the reelection of UhuRuto.
