Machakos Senator Johnstone Muthama has rubbished speculations that he prefers Cord leader Raila Amolo to Wiper Party leader Stephen Kalonzo Musyoka as the National Super Alliance (NASA) deliberates on whom to pick as the flag bearer ahead of the August General polls.
Speaking during an exclusive interview with the Star, Muthama said that Kalonzo would have already ejected him from the committee given the mandate to oversee the naming of the NASA flag bearer if he did not trust him.
The outspoken senator terms the speculations doings rounds in the nation as media fabrications meant to bring differences between him and his Party boss.
The Ukambani also said that he enjoys cordial relationship with Kalonzo Musyoka.
“I have a very long political history with Kalonzo and he knows very well the battles I have fought for him. If what has been going around is true, by now Kalonzo would have expelled me from the negotiating committee," he said.
Muthama also downplayed claims that he intends to contest for the Nairobi Seat. Earlier on, he had said he can contest anywhere including Nairobi during an interview on Musyi FM.
"I said I was contemplating moving to a different county, Nairobi maybe. [This was misinterpreted by the media],” he said.
