The senator alleges that some Jubilee leaders are keen to have the opposition made ‘useless’.

While addressing the media in Machakos town on Friday, Muthama further alleged a plot by Jubilee to cause disunity among Coalition for Reforms and Democracy (Cord) top leaders.

The Machakos senator claimed that Jubilee leaders are praying for a fallout between Cord leader Raila Odinga and co-principals Kalonzo Musyoka and Moses Wetangula.

“Jubilee should know that their plans are well known and as Cord we are not surprised that they are plotting our downfall,” he said.

He noted that a section of Jubilee leaders are not happy with Cord’s unity and are allegedly working to cause disharmony.

He said Cord will not be cowed by ‘cheap’ talk being made by top Jubilee leaders.

The senator asked the Jubilee government to work on insecurity, unemployment and rising poverty instead of wasting taxpayer’s money and resources by making noise.

In regards to President Uhuru Kenyatta’s visit to Machakos County on Wednesday, Muthama said that the visit lacked meaning adding Cord’s dominance in the region cannot be challenged.

The senator said that Machakos people know the kind of leaders they want and that they are not interested in a ‘PR’ government.

Muthama said the opposition will not be silenced easily as they are the voice of the many voiceless Kenyans.
