Machakos Senator Johnson Muthama has lashed out at his govenor Dr Alfred Mutua for linking Wiper Party leader Kalonzo Musyoka to land grabbing.
In defense of his party captain, Muthama has warned Mutua against using Musyoka as a diversionary subject to shift focus from the corruption Mutua’s government is facing.
Muthama has assured his governor serious podium showdown after he conclusively answers the auditor General’s questions.
“Let’s focus on the business before us. Nobody is scared to climb up a political podium at the right time and say what he wants to say. We can do politics but let’s not politicise this issue,” said Senator Muthama as quoted by the Nation.
His response came after Mutua tabled a letter through Ndegwa and Ndegwa Associates implicating Musyoka in land graft.
Part of the letter reads, “Using his position as vice president, he illegally and irregularly influenced the allocation to himself and through proxies of the following parcels of land in complete disregard on the conduct of public officers. LR. No. 22278 and IR 130409 in Mavoko Municipality, Machakos in the name of Desiral Ltd a company believed to be registered in his name and that of his wife, Mrs Pauline Kalonzo. LR. No. 201185 IR No. 67338, a parcel of 4,000 ha in Mavoko municipality...”
