Machakos Senator Johnstone Muthama has urged residents of Ukambani to vote for Wiper aspirants in all elective posts during the upcoming general polls.

Speaking during the burial of former paramount chief Savano Maveke in Matungulu constituency, Muthama told mourners not to waste their time on candidates from other parties in the August election.

Wiper Party leader Kalonzo Musyoka, who was also present at the event, differed once again with Muthama over the push to disolve small parties.

According to Kalonzo the small parties are equally importance hence they should be allowed to make a democratic move before the election date.

“I want to correct Senator Muthama here on the issue of those other parties ... We all belong to the same family as they also have the right to exist,” he said.

Muthama and Kalonzo has disagreed over the same issue last year along Mombasa Road after the senator asked other leaders to join wiper before it is too late.

Former Kathiani MP Wavinya Ndeti, who has declared to dethrone incumbent governor Dr Alfred Mutua, urged different leaders from not to impose leaders on the people “The voters must be granted the opportunity to elect who they want,” she said.
