[Photo|Evans Kidero]Former Machakos County Senator Johnston Muthama has strongly criticised deputy president William Ruto, after he alongside President Uhuru Kenyatta, attacked Supreme Court judges. The duo attacked the court's judges, led by Chief Justice David Maraga, and to an extent, called him and his team 'wakora' (thugs), after they nullified Uhuru's re-election in the August 8 presidential election, and called for fresh poll. The National Super Alliance (Nasa) had filed the petition, with its presidential candidate Raila Odinga, contesting Uhuru's win, saying election was subverted to favour him. However on Thursday, flanked by former Nairobi County Dr Evans Kidero, and other Nasa presidential campaign team, Muthama warned Ruto against attacking Maraga. He said the DP had no moral authority to call Maraga a 'mkora' given that he (Ruto) has been the one being mentioned in several scandals."Between Maraga and Ruto who should be called a mkora? Anybody seeing the two walking together in Nairobi streets, can easily tell," Muthama, noted.Addressing the press at a Nairobi Hotel, he further indicated Nasa firmly stood with the Supreme Court judges, after they proved what Kenyans had seen, a 'shambolic' election exercise. The presidential campaign team pledged to put up a spirited campaign to ensure Odinga is elected the president, come October 17.
