The first wife of Senator Johnson Muthama’s Agnes Kavindu has a different story to tell the world after the lawmaker alleged that they finalized their divorce.

Speaking during an exclusive interview with KTN TV on Friday, Kavindu insisted that she still lives under the same roof with Muthama, reports Tuko.co.ke.

Kavindu, who is vying for the Machakos Woman Rep position on a Jubilee ticket, also said that they once went separate ways but they are now together.

“It is true we did go separate ways but we are now together, I live in his house, and we have a son. I will not dwell on that too much because it is a family matter,” she said, as quoted by the local daily.

When asked about her opinion in regard to Muthama refusing to defend his seat, the aspirant said that it is a personal decision.

“He had his role to be Senator but if he is satisfied being no longer Senator, that is a personal decision,” she added.

Muthama and Kavindu hit headlines when she expressed interest in the area’s women rep race. The senator has insisted that they are no longer married but the wife has a different story to tell the nation.
