Machakos senator Johnstone Muthama's assertion that Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka must be Cord's flagbearer is wrong.
The senator said that he shall not accept any other person apart from Kalonzo Musyoka to become Cord's flagbearer. I think Muthama is wrong on this one.
What if Kalonzo loses when the three Cord co-principals battle it off in the primaries? The senator should let natural justice and democracy to take its course.
The three Cord co-principals Raila Odinga, Bungoma senator Moses Wetang'ula and Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka have expressed interest to be the Cord's flagbearer.
The best way to go about is the three to face off. Let the ballot box be the judge.
Last week, Cord leaders kicked off internal reforms in the party to make sure the coming primaries are peaceful and democratic.
It is therefore wrong for Muthama to assert that he and other Ukambani leaders shall not settle for nothing short of Kalonzo being Cord's flagbearer.
