Wiper party leadership has dismissed claims that there are differences between party leader Kalonzo Musyoka and Machakos Senator Johnston Muthama.
This follows claims that Muthama is Raila Odinga's 'mole' and has been lobbying Odinga's 2017 presidential bid instead of supporting Kalonzo as his party leader.
Wiper secretary general Mombasa senator Hassan Omar indicated that Muthama and Kalonzo were in good terms and that at no point has he ever tried to sabotage Kalonzo's presidencial bid.
This is despite Kalonzo himself, was quoted saying he disagrees with Muthama at times.
Kalonzo disclosed this while in Taita Taveta last weekend, for a political tour.
There were also reports, that Muthama could possibly be 'punished' for 'supporting' Odinga's ODM.
"At no point has anyone in the party tried to subbotage party leader's presidential bid. We have no differences in the party,'' said the lawmaker.
Speaking after a Wiper National Executive Council meeting, Tuesday, Omar noted that the party will officially endorse Kalonzo-Cord presidency on December 10, this year.
This will be done during a Wiper National Delegates Conference.
Muthama snubbed the meeting to attend a Cord meeting at Capitol Hill offices.
