Machakos Senator Johnson Muthama has finally responded to the remarks of Wiper Party leader Stephen Kalonzo made during his tour in Makueni County.
Kalonzo accused Muthama and his Siaya counterpart of back-biting him, however, Muthama, Kalonzo attacks were not meant for him in their literal meaning but were directed at the coalition for Reforms and Democracy (Cord) steering committee.
He also said that he and Siaya Senator James Orengo are part of the committee. “He did not say that I betrayed him and you should not report that. What he said was that Muthama and Orengo who are co-chairs of the Cord Steering committee should take responsibility if we fail to clinch the presidency,” Muthama was quoted by the Sunday Nation.
The former Vice President has earlier said that he was aware of Muthama and Orengo’s plot to prevent him from running for Presidency when that time comes.
“I am fully aware of what you have been doing behind my back with Orengo to predetermine the outcome of Cord presidential primaries and deny me the ticket. You must convince Wiper supporters that the ticket you are pushing for can deliver victory for Cord,” he said at Sultan Hamud market.
