The police officers in Mitaboni administration police camp in Machakos county were yesterday ousted by angry demonstrators led by Senator Johnstone Muthama and Machakos County deputy governor Benard Kiala.
This happened following the murder of 5 security guards in Mitaboni.
Felons behind that horrendous act of felony committed the crime near police camp in Mitaboni market. This prompted the residents to conclude that the police officers are reluctant in their job.
The mob accused the police service and the Cabinet Secretary for Internal Security, Joseph Nkaissery of the crime. They called upon the Cabinet Secretary to see to it that the rising insecurity in their neighborhood is curbed.
Led by Senator Muthama, demonstratos were heard saying: ‘They will know that we are the people.’
This demonstration brought the transport along Mitaboni-Kenol junction nearly to a complete halt.
