Machakos Senator Johnson Muthama’s absence at the Kamba leaders’ meeting in Emali held on Tuesday has raised questions.
The leaders from this part of the nation had come together to rally behind Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka as he seeks to ascend to power in the forthcoming General polls .
Muthama, who did not attend the meeting, has not given a valid reason for his action. It is reported that he was invited only to fail to turn up for the meeting.
Sources indicate that the Senator is not comfortable with Makueni Governor Kivutha Kibwana’s presence in Wiper.
The meeting brought together different leaders including former lands minister Charity Ngilu, Chama Cha Uzalendo leader, Wavinya Ndeti, PTP leader, John Katuku, Governor Julius Malombe and senators and Mutula Kilonzo Jnr and David Musila. Machakos counterpart Bernard Kiala and his Nairobi Deputy Governor Jonathan Mueke, Machakos woman representative Susan Musyoka and her Makueni counterpart Rose Museo and MPs Nairobi Deputy Governor Jonathan Mueke and Daniel Maanzo (Makueni) were also in attendance.
