The senator, who spoke after holding a strategy meeting at Panafric Hotel, said that it is unwarranted for the head of state to attack the judiciary. The politician said that it is unfortunate that the leaders of Jubilee have no reason to attack Judiciary when they asked NASA to go to the court.
“They were telling Raila and NASA to respect the verdict of the Supreme Court. But when the verdict was out, they changed their tune and started attacking the Judiciary, calling Maraga and other judges wakora [thugs],” he said, as quoted by Star.
The lawmaker also said that the opposition has good plans to guard NASA Leader Raila Amolo Odinga during the forthcoming fresh election. This comes after the Supreme Court nullified President Uhuru Kenyatta’s win.
“The meeting today was about the upcoming election. We want to guard our presidential candidate’s votes so Jubilee does not steal them again,” Muthama said.
Muthama refused to defend his senator post for unknown reasons.
