Former Machakos Senator Johnson Muthama has refuted claims that he has quit politics for good.
Muthama who did not contest for any seat in the recently concluded general election says that he isn’t yet done with politics.
Speaking to journalists in Matungulu on Sunday, Muthama said that he is still active in politics.
“I am still alive politically and I have not hung up my political boots as being speculated some media outlets,’ he by the Daily Nation.
Muthama said that he will be around in 2022 with bigger ambitions. He said that his desire to serve Machakos people and Kenyans cannot be taken away.
Muthama asked his supporters not to despair assuring them of his return to politics.
He asked elected leaders especially in Ukambani to commit themselves to service delivery.
Muthama said that Ukambani locals are yearning for development which they have missed for years.
The Raila Odinga die hard ally did not contest for any seat in the recently concluded polls.
Sources say that Muthama who is not in good terms with his party leader Kalonzo Musyoka could be bidding for the Machakos governor seat
