Muthama says Kalonzo is within his rights as a national leader to seek audience with the president.

According to the former Kangundo MP,  there is no harm in Kalonzo, Moses Wetangula and Musalia Mudavadi seeking audience with President Kenyatta.

“I don’t see anything wrong with Kalonzo's plan to meet with President Uhuru Kenyatta and people should stop bashing him,” Muthama said.

Muthama said there is need for all leaders across the divide to be part of any national dialogue.

He said Kalonzo , Mudavadi and Wetangula also need to know the issues  which President Uhuru and Raila Odinga discussed last week so as to prepare for the national dialogue.

He said the move by a section of opposition politicians to criticize Kalonzo for seeking to meet Uhuru is uncalled for.

On Wednesday, Kalonzo said he alongside Mudavadi and Wetangula will meet the President once he jets back from Cuba where he is on official duty.

Uhuru and Raila’s last week meeting has continued to elicit reactions and debate with majority of politicians allied to Kalonzo, Mudavadi and Wetangula crying foul on why they were kept in the dark.

On Monday, the NASA principals are said to have agreed on wider and inclusive national dialogue and reconciliation.

Kalonzo's Wiper Party meets on Friday to discuss its future in the NASA coalition.
